![]() ![]() VI's SFC fan translation is sadly unfinished (95% of dialogue is translated) with a few bugs in. As with all the others, it aims for allo allo style stetrotypes but V's is a lot heavier on it and it veers very close to racism with Sancho. From a localisation standpoint, the DS official translation is also awful and quite frankly borderline racist in places. When emulating PS2 5 it becomes even better as it has a true widesceeen patch. The DS has its new playable character with significant extra dialogue (though DQ fans are very undecided if the extra character makes a positive addition to the game lol, though I quite like her) PS2 has orchestrated sound and 3D graphics. Personally I would prefer playing them on PS2, SNES and PSX respectively. Sushi Striker - Obviously made for the 3DS and the stylus, and plays much better here than on switch.Starfox 64 3DS - It runs so much more smoothly than the 64 version and looks amazing in stereoscopic 3D.Shinobi III with the stereoscopic 3D is amaaazing. IMO, a good deal of the Sega games that M2 ported to 3DS.Kid Icarus 3DS (Classic) - Great 3D and improved QoL in the tweaked version. ![]() Kirby's Adventure 3DS - Great game with the slowdown removed and nice 3D effects.Urban Champion 3DS - I mean yeah everyone hates the game, but this is still pretty easily the best version.Alliance Alive - Again due to the great stereoscopic 3D.Ocarina of Time - Unlike Majora's Mask, all of the changes made were positive.Etrian Odyssey Untold / 2 Untold - I know people don't like the stories that they added for these, but there's so much QoL, gameplay and presentation improvements that these are my preferred versions. And this game had really good 3D in particular IIRC. Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate - Not an amazing game, but prefer the stereoscopic 3D to the console version.Every Ace Attorney - The 3D improves the experience a lot, IMO.Game & Watch collection 1/2 - The best the OG game and watch games have been presented to date.Tetris DS - Probably the best tetris game.Pokemon Platinum - Preferred over the Diamond/Pearl remakes, if that counts.Dragon Quest IV/V/VI - Also available on mobile now, but pretty sure these are the best versions of these games we ever got in the west. The World Ends with You DS - I haven't played both versions, but lots of people make convincing arguments that the DS version is the one to play.Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon.Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge - Much better than the wonderswan version.Mother 1 + 2 - Not 2 so much, but 1 is much improved by the grinding improvements.Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls - Yeah they significantly change the gameplay, but the GBA versions are way more playable in this day and age than the NES originals if you didn't grow up with them.Ganbare Goemon 1 & 2 - Ability to do battery saves and swap characters on the fly more than make up for the lack of coop, IMO.Haven't played 2 but I think it improved grinding as well. Breath of Fire 1 on GBA - if only because it makes the grinding significantly less bad, and adds a run button.I'm not an extremely hardcore fan of many of these games, so YMMV on some tiny aspect being worse than the original, but I think for the more casual videogame enjoyer these will be true.
